Taguangkan sang Duta, this is the place called by the tribe. This place is huge underground burning lake surrounded by high arched roof. This place was described by the oral chant of the tribe as the place where the entrance of Duta sang Kalipayan or Land of Happiness begins.

In the burning lake, the souls were imprisoned before it can enter the land of happiness. If a person had committed violations and blasphemies to the law of the Earth Spirit Guardians, his soul will be trapped in the burning lake and could not pass through it until the day where his savior soul will pass through and will help him . Then this pure soul will become his savior and remove him from the burning lake. If his soul savior had not yet come, then he will be transformed into a state of deep sleep. If a person is holy he can passed with ease.
The tribe believed that the soul is an eternal entity.They believed in many gods and goddesses. They called them Macacagahum meaning Thy Powerful.
They believed in personal god whose spirit dwell on earth, whom they pray everyday to his spirit. They believed also that the earthly spirits and the soul of the holy man can help a person in times of need and can use their unseen forces as protection from harm and calamities and disasters, like storm at sea or land, flood, fire, earthquake, accidents, and others where men has no control.
To them, the soul can travel in all dimension either in real world or supernatural world.

Revenge of Black Mermaid/ Merman caught by fish hook at mystical creek.
It was noon so I settled under the shade of Bangkal tree while I was fishing with hook and line. I knew that under the roots of the tree, there was a cave where an underground spring flow. Some old men told me that the source of the spring is the nearby hill and it bored a hole under the ground and surfaced at the creek.
That was the reason why the creek never ran out of water even in summer.
Suddenly my fishing rod jerked and something snapped the line. But the line was sturdy. Fearing that it will broke the rod I tied the nylon cord on the tree. The line tightened and the tree swayed as the line was dragged underwater.
Later there's a big splash on the surface and I saw a large tail like that of a catfish, black and shiny. It is as big as the tire of a truck. I saw it trashing wildly above the water before the nylon cord snapped.
Minutes later, a wind whipped me hard. I was amazed for the leaves of the trees never move and only affect me. Later my body developed rashes and patches of swollen flesh appeared all over it. My face also bloated and reddened and I was short of breath.
I immediately went home and my friend fetched the shaman-healer, which is my cousin residing on the nearby village, in order to cure me.
She told me that I had caught a black mermaid and the creature punished me. I said it was true because I had seen its tail.

Ancient Supernatural Tree in Occult ground withstand assault of ripping heavy equipments

When the oil refinery and depot was constructed in our village, strange incidents occurred in the area.
At the start of the construction all the trees were felled down by the workers. At the edge of the area by the side of the steep slope with creek, lies a big Balete /Nonoc tree that stand alone. No local chainsaw operator bothered to cut it because they knew the tree harbored demons, elves and tamawo. When the foreman ordered one of his men to cut the tree, the chainsaw broke down and that night the handler of the chainsaw fell ill.
The Engineer then ordered his man, driving bulldozer to ripped the tree. The bulldozer headed straight to the tree to attack it on its trunk, but to the amazement of the driver he could not control the equipment and it went straight to the slope toward the creek.
The developer never gave up and this time they used a large backhoe. When the backhoe started to dig at the roots of the tree the machine became uncontrolled and went again to the slope down to the creek.
Now, they believed that there were supernaturals beings dwelling on that tree.
So they stop attacking the tree, instead they build a landscape area around the tree, complete with benches, lagoon and planted with ornamental plants and flowers.

Mermaid Siren Song prelude to Drowning sacrifices made by sea-dwelling Demon spirit
My mother used to tell me this story since I was a kid.

My mother said when a rainbow appeared around the moon at its full moon phase, it's a portend of drowning incident. She said that one night of full moon she saw the rainbow. Our house which is situated in a higher ground overlooking the sea which is just a stone-throw away from it, heard a haunting song of a young lady. The voice keep repeating the song that says, she needed a boy as sacrifice for her immortality.
Immediately on the very morning, my mother warned all the villagers about what she heard that night. The villagers never went out to sea that day. But a man from another village with his son who is just a 10-year- old boy went spearfishing on the sea on the nearby rocks. He disregard the admonition of my mother. He never believed on the ominous sign that was told to him..
The man left the boy on the sandy beach and dived to spear fishes under the rocks. When he surfaced he look at the boy and saw him playing with the sands. He went down again but latter when he surfaced, his son was gone. He looked around and saw him running toward the sea away from his position. He shouted at the bay but he run fast and jumped on the water where the waves pounded.
The boy was lost from his sight.
He ran toward the area and dived under. Luckily he saw his son flat at the bottom of the rock. He pulled him and surfaced. The boy was saved.
When he asked his son why he did it, he replied that he was chasing a beautiful flying fish and he knew that he was running on the sand and saw no deep water on his path.

UFO Descendant Bird Sarimanok abducted Tribe's Princess for hybridization
From the oral folklore of a certain Mindanao Tribe retold.

My grandmother who came from Maranao tribe ancestry told me this story; that was told to her coming from the account of her ancestors transferred from one generation to another.
She said, Lake Lanao was a center of supernatural occurrence in the area in ancient time. The lake harbored many sightings that could not be explained. Some sightings indicate that there were unidentified flying object landed on the lake that resembled to a large flying boat the size of a caracao. Others saw some flying boat the size of a baroto. All of these flying objects they observed, rose from the depth of the lake and returned at dawn to submerge again.
According to the legend, the famous occurrence of these things happened on the celebration of the royal family. The princess celebrated her birthday and on that occasion, while they were in the merry, making a giant bird appeared in the air.
The bird resembled to a rooster with large comb and has long tail dangling as it flew. It was dazzling with different colors. Then it landed at the center of the dancing celebration in open ground. After that, the bird transformed into a handsome man. Everyone was enchanted by him and freeze. And easily, the visitor went directly to the princess that was captivated by his charm.
The whole tribe was enchanted and could not move. So without any hindrance, the stranger took the princess to the open ground and then transformed again into a bird and flew; bringing with him the princess.
The king after, gaining his senses, followed the flight of the bird and they saw it landed on the lake and vanished.
Later he built the replica of the bird in all his royal houses to remind him the image of the abductor of her daughter.
And they called the bird Sarimanok.
* Baroto - a dug out canoe that can ride three person.
* Caracao - a big sail boat capable of accommodating 200 people.

Cementerio de los Extranjeros - Burial ground of Alien race preserved
The cemetery is located near the sea in the island of Panay.
From the oral account of pioneer American teacher called Thomasites who was detailed in Iloilo retold by Jose Conanan of Iloilo City
His name is G.N. Brink He is an official of Bureau of Public Instruction in our place in 1902. He came to know this ancient burial ground when one English citizen died in the city. He was buried at the ancient cemetery.
He was buried on an old tomb, a rectangular niche made of bricks. The tomb was occupied once by rich clan of the city but was abandoned centuries ago as revealed by the last generation of caretakers of the cemetery.
The tomb was destroyed and the remnants of the corpse were robbed of gold and jewelry because nobody paid a visit in that tomb.
When the tomb was cleared of other debris, the excavators unearthed a skull of a primate with upper pangs
Its jaw is not natural for it was elongated. The diggers thought that it was a primate, maybe gorilla that was buried before the cemetery was built.
My friend said that the skull was alien specie, probably ancestors of vampire race, that was buried in the tomb because nobody will care for a gorilla to be buried in expensive cemetery.
As for the skull my friend told me that he will bring it to America.

The origin of supernatural hybrid; Man-Horse called Tayhu or Tikbalang
One of the ritual to become a shaman is to capture alive the creature called Tayhu or Tikbalang. The Tayhu creature is a hybrid, born out of the union of a female bufallo and giant called Agta as revealed by the shaman. Tikbalang is the offspring of a female horse and Agta giant.

Tayhu and Tikbalang can't produce offspring because it is sterile. In Philippine mythology these creatures can be tamed and utilized as working animals.
Tayhu is a creature whose upper body resembles to a hominids or primates. It has a torso and head of a primates with semblance to early hominids of prehistoric era. Its lower body from waist resembled that of legs of four-legged animals.
The Tikbalang is another hybrid. Its head resembled to a horse with thick hair, while its torso is hominid in shape. Downward, it has two legs but its shape belongs to that of a horse, thereby making it to run like horse.
To capture the Tikbalang, you must seek its habitat and its trail at moonlit night. Once it was pinpointed, then you must climb a tree where its branches dangles on the path of the Tikbalang. Then wait for the creature to pass on on your position while on his way to its feeding ground. Once it passed on your position jumped on his shoulders, grabbed the mane hair and sat on his shoulders holding its hair while your legs strangled its throat.
The creature will run and shake hard to throw you away from his head but hold fast and hard. Then pull the biggest strand of hair at the back of its neck. When this hair was remove, the creature will stop and put you on the ground. Then you will become its master.
