My Grandfather's Testament
Alien Entity at our backyard
The old house of our grandfather was situated on a parcel of land surrounded by trees and dense vegetation.
One morning as my grandfather ventured at their backyard in search of spiders to be entered in fighting contest, he encountered two boys of his age.
The boys knew his name though it was the first time they met.
"Come with us Balbin, let's play sungka," said one of the stranger.
Grandfather said he was amazed for they knew him and their appearances were different from him. They were albino with blue eyes and brown hair. They were like Caucasians but when he looked at their face it has no canal from nose downward to upper lips.
Though stranger to him, grandfather said they were friendly, so he went with them toward their house.
To his surprised, the big tree of their backyard transformed to become a beautiful house. He said he has no knowledge that a new house was built beside their hut. Though perplexed he said he never showed it to his playmates.
So they played sungka, a native game of stone that was played on the ground by having holes on the ground with seven holes in each side of two players. The holes will be filled with stones and whoever have the most number of stones after the game, wins the game.
Another surprise that hit him was the stone they were using were all golden pebbles, said grandfather.
They played many games and the strangers were losing to him for he was adept in that kind of game.
Sensing that he had already spent hours with his playmates he told them that he will go home.
"My sister will be looking for me. I'm going home now," grandfather said.
But his playmates didn't want him to go home. They insisted to play until they win.
It was already four o'clock yet Balbin didn't yet go home for lunch.
His family was already in panic. They were convinced that his disappearance was caused by the Tamawo, a supernatural being that abound in their place. The shaman told them that he must be searched and found before dusk came because after dark, it was hard for them to find the boy that was brought by the Tamawo to their own dimension.
A big search party was assembled.
All of them focused on their search at their backyard. They shouted his name, banged the gong and ringed the bells to attract the attention of the missing boy.
Grandfather said, he saw the search party. He also shouted back to them but nobody heard him. Then he saw his mother going to his direction. He said his mother never saw him even though she was only few feet away from him.
As his mother passed on his side, he suddenly grabbed the hands of his mother.
His mother felt his hands and yelled his name. Suddenly searchers held his mothers hands and forcefully pulled the unseen force that grabbed her.
Like magic I emerged in front of them like coming from a shroud of smoke, told my grandfather.
