Minuro it AKEAN: Center of Supernatural Occurrence and Practice.

The ancient name of the province of Aklan is Minuro it AKEAN. It is one of the provinces of the island of Aninipay MU or Panay Island, Philippines in modern times.

Aklan is the oldest province of the Philippines. One of its mountain tribe has an ancient record of the past;  recorded, preserved and propagated through memorization and chanting that was handed from one generation to another until the advent of writing.

The following lists shows some  of these supernatural occurrences that was recorded in Akean beliefs.

A. Shape-shifter Aswang. Creature who consumed human flesh and blood.

It was classified into various types. 
 1. Aswang lupad -      the flying aswang
 2. Aswang malakat -   the walking aswang who could not fly.
 3. Aswang gabunan -  the walking aswang who only eats human once a year.
 4. Aswang hubot -      a flying aswang  that can detach its lower body when flying


B. Wakwak, Sigbin, Buaya, Tayhu and other  supernatural pets of Aswang.


C. Mystical Giants

 1.Agta - Black hairy giant taller than a tree
 2.Mantiw - a slim and tall giant taller that the bamboo tree
 3.Capre - brown hairy giant smaller that Agta
 4.Mangingilaw - flesh eating gorilla bigger that the brown bear.


D. Mystical Alien Creatures

 1.Bueakaw - the flaming bird that live in the forest lagoons and springs
 2.Tamawo - Mythical entities who were kind and friendly to human sometimes called fallen angels.
 3.Yawa - Mythical entities who are malevolent and harmful to human, elemental demons.
 4. Bueawang Baca - flesh eating golden cow.

These were the only partial lists and it takes a book-length manuscript to reveal all these supernatural things.
