Mythological Demons Existence in Philippine culture

There are many types of demons sightings and encounters occurred  in the Philippines. These accounts were told orally and handed down from one generation to another until the advent of writing.

1. The Aswang:         A flesh eating shape-shifting creatures who preyed on human flesh.
2. Mangingilaw:         Night creature who are carnivorous with ape-like feature.
3. Bueakaw:             A flaming bird who also harm human through their supernatural power.
4. Mantiw:                A slim but tall giant where its feet is as tall as the coconut tree.
5. Cama-cama          Black dwarf who are mischievous.
6. Agta                     Tree- dwelling giant as tall as a tree.
7. Segbin                  A kangaroo-like animal the size of a goat. Its hind legs were bigger than
                                front legs.
          
8. Wakwak              A bat-like bird with wings the size of open umbrella. It is the hunt-dog
                                of aswang.

9. Uko  or Ikugan     A monkey-like creature. It attack children in the forest.
10.Amaeanhig          A zombie. The state of a sorcerer that of  being alive but his body
                                was already dead.
